We are Dedicated to Preserving Hesperia's History Through Education

Hesperia Hotel built in 1887 by one of Hesperia's founders R.M. Widney. The hotel stood as a sky scraper majestically reaching towards the clear sky's of the high desert. This magnificent hotel operated until 1926 when Route 66 came into full operation. The event  re-routed the traffic from the Old Government Road, National Old Trails (mid east side of Hesperia) to the fabulous new Mother Road, Route 66 on the west side of Hesperia. The Hotel stood Majestically on Hesperia Road (Old government Road, National Old Trails. Unfortunately the Hesperia Hotel had to be torn down in the early 1960's
